Antique Whiteglass Bottle Demijohns or Carboy in Authentic Wicker Basket, France
About the Item
Dame Jeanne or carboy antique glass bottle demijohn.
The carboys were often protected from shocks and temperature variations into a wicker basket. Between the bascket and the bottle, some straw was added.
This king of dame jeanne is rare because the wicker has rarely come down to us in a good state of preservation. in addition, it is also rare to be able to remove the wicker lid, which has often been attached to the basket.
