Vintage Collection of 12 Bronze Sculptures by Wm Otto for La Brea Tar Pits
About the Item
A very rare collection of twelve miniature bronze ice age mammal sculptures that were created by Wm Otto for the Rancho La Brea Tar Pits museum and gift shop circa, late 1950s. The sculptures were designed based on restorations from skeletons excavated at the tar pits by the Los Angeles County Museum. These pieces have amazing detail, a wonderful patina and nice weight for the size. Each piece is signed and all but one comes with the original description card.
