Finely detailed and charming model of a long-haired dachshund dog in solid, cast and hand chased silver and showing all the key characteristics and proportions of this much loved breed.
Colloquially known as sausage dogs, the name dachshund is of German origin and means badger dog. They were bred to scent, chase and flush out badgers and other burrowing animals while the miniature dachshunds were bred to hunt small animals such as rabbits.
