Pair of Empire Gilt Bronze and Cut Crystal Candlesticks, Ca 1810
About the Item
A charming pair of candlesticks. Most of the candlesticks made during this period, Louis XVl, Directoire and Empire used bronze that were either gilt or dark-patinated. These candlesticks have bases of cut crystal which makes them rare and gives them a very light and romantic feeling. The quality is very good as well as the condition. Perfect to use at a dining table as well as in a hallway or in a bedroom.
