About the Item

Kinsburger, (1855-1935) was a pupil at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris and is known for his cast iron statue, The Reaper, circa 1900, erected at the park of Grandes Promenades de Wassy. His Gouffre en Pierre, made in 1933, is located in the park of Buttes-Chaumont in Paris. His work of the two Atlantean corbells over the entrance of No. 48 bis rue de Rivoli in Paris, was distinguished in the Competition of the Facades of Paris in 1905.
