About the Item
925 silver box "PEZZATO yellow blue and green" by Roberto Giulio Rida
The 925 sterling silver box was handcrafted by an experienced silversmith at the request of Roberto Giulio Rida, who intentionally created the box on a Murano glass lid called "pezzato" made by Venini Murano. The silver used is 925 and the special feature of the box is the acute angles: bending silver at a perfect acute angle is synonymous with great skill. Those familiar with Roberto Giulio Rida's pieces know that details and the highest quality of execution are the cornerstones of his work efforts.
The weight of the 925 silver box is gr 600. The signature R.G.RIDA is typed on the bottom. Unique and non-repeatable piece.
The lid of the box is as already anticipated of Muranese Venini manufacture and executed to a design by Fulvio Bianconi in the 1950s.
The silver box has custom packaging, that is, Artist Roberto Giulio Rida wanted to create an elegant dark blue silk box with a logo to protect it.

Roberto Giulio Rida
“The fundamental elements of Roberto Giulio Rida’s works are all visible and tangible: construction quality and attention to detail, meticulous proportions and the use of period materials handcrafted in Italy. Crystal
Murano’s glass
Wood
Metal
These are the materials on which Italian Design was built in the first half of the 20th century, These are the materials that Roberto Giulio Rida loves, knows and uses to express his imagination by creating unique handcrafted objects such as: furniture, lamps, mirrors, boxes. His work is concrete not conceptual. He does not rely on reproducibility in series and does not seek innovation at all costs. Rida’s work brings the lessons of the great masters of the past into our present in a personal and undemocratic way .. it creates furnishing protagonists, not supporting characters. “
