Eddie Curtis Celadon Glazed Large Studio Pottery Bowl
About the Item
An impressive and stylish large Studio Pottery bowl decorated in celadon and shino glazes by renowned British potter Eddie Curtis and made in the 20th century. The bowl is hand crafted and stands on a narrow unglazed hexagonal foot a twisted shaped body with raised ridges running down the sides. The bowl is decorated in rich celadon glazes with textured shino glazes with elements of red around the base and to the inside of the bowl. With an impressed EC mark to the base similar examples of this bowl are featured on the Eddie Curtis website.
This stylish piece came as part of a large private collection of Studio Pottery, carefully selected and from renowned makers.
Provenance: Acquired in the British Art Market.
