Sculptural and graphically stunning Scandinavian midcentury modern warm anthracite black and white decorative centerpiece bowl. Hand-carved organic animalistic relief pattern of stylized rooster with shiny chalk white glaze. Manufactured in the 1950s on the Danish island of Bornholm and designed by ceramic artist Marianne Starck for Michael Andersen & Son as part of the Tribal series. Stamped and numbered under base.
Beautiful vintage condition.
