Great condition overall, especially considering age. Presents splendidly, with nicely aged patina over the whole. Retaining remnants of original polychrome red paint to the verso. Heavily worn, naturally distressed finish, with expected signs of use, including wear, checking, and paint loss seen to the wooden and painted exterior throughout the collection, evidence of minor past repair of the wings, slight chips, losses, which are minor in nature, and do not detract from the overall display, but only add to the charming antique character, rustic warmth, and whimsical artistic depth.
