Korean Asian Large 8-Panel Silk Embroidered Byobu Bird Butterfly Screen, 1900s

About the Item

A gorgeous early to midcentury Korean embroidered eight-panel screen depicting scenic nature motifs of flowering trees, playful birds and floating butterflies. Very rare and hard to come by. The embroidery work and colors are quite stunning. We believe the screen was originally made in the early to mid-1900s. Signed on the verso. Would be a great addition to any Asian art collection or very eye-catching stand-alone piece. Screen dimensions: 62" high, 142" wide, .75" deep. Folded dimensions: 62" high, 18.5" wide, 6" deep.
