Set of 4 Chinese Export Porcelain Celadon Plates

About the Item

A fine set of 4 antique Chinese porcelain celadon plates. Each with a raised depictions of birds, bugs, and butterflies surrounded by pink, orange, and green foliage against a celadon ground. Simply a lovely set of Chinese Export celadon plates! Date: Late 19th or Early 20th Century Overall Condition: They are in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There is noticeable rubbing to the gold throughout, significant wear to the decoration on one of the plates, some wear here and there to the other 3 plates, and some losses to the glaze to the rim.There no chips, cracks, or repairs and some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Unknown Marks: Marked to the base with a blue Chinese seal Measurements: Diameter: 3 plates are ca. 7 3/8 in., 1 plate is ca. 7 1/8 in. Height: ca. 1 in.
