Japanese Contemporary Red Blue Gold Porcelain Vase by Master Artist, 3
About the Item
Extraordinary museum-quality contemporary Japanese gilded decorative porcelain vase, intricately in blue, red, green, yellow and orange, on a stunningly shaped body with two graceful handles, a magnificent signed masterpiece by highly acclaimed master porcelain artist in overglaze enameling and the recipient of numerous prestigious awards for his exceptional porcelain work and his contributions to this centuries old art. The inspiration for this massive extraordinary porcelain vase came from a rare exquisite piece this master porcelain artist created in the past that found its home in a royal palace.
This magnificent piece is intricately hand painted in the beloved Ko-Imari (Old Imari) style/ The sheer size, the exceptional graceful shape, the exquisite scalloped panels with the auspicious flower and bird motif set against an intricate geometric pattern covering the entire body of the vase , make this a memorable piece and the focal point of the space it adorns. The scalopped rim with a strikingly elegant pattern on the neck and base adds another layer of elegance to this outstanding piece.
This artist has perfected the polychrome overglaze technique to create porcelain pieces with stunning colors. Although a master of the polychrome palette, he explains that both artist and connoisseur finally return to monochrome blue underglaze, the most unforgiving style in hand painted porcelain that demands perfection in execution. This piece is a wonderful example of his mastery in both techniques. The artist's profile is available upon request.
This mesmerizing porcelain vase comes in a custom made wooden case with the artist’s signature.
