Japanese Contemporary Orange Blue Green Porcelain Vase by Master Artist, 2

About the Item

Exquisite Japanese contemporary Imari porcelain vase, a signed masterpiece by highly acclaimed award-winning master porcelain artist in overglaze enameling. The elegant ovoid shape serves as a perfect canvas for camellia blossoms in orange, white and blue coming together to provide refuge for nightingales intoxicated by the sweet scent of the flowers. The artist shows off his virtuoso skills by taking the branches of the camellia bush all the way up to the lip of the vase as it fans outward. The artist, the creator of this work, has perfected the polychrome overglaze technique to create porcelain pieces with stunning colors. He is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards for his extraordinary porcelain work and his contributions to this centuries old art. His signature style, a refreshing interpretation of traditional polychrome overglaze enameling techniques and motifs. Inspired by nature, he creates a dramatic landscape on porcelain with flowers coming alive. His painstaking “drip painting” technique is designed to bring a subtly raised, three-dimensional feel to motifs that are expressed in bold vibrant colors. This stunning porcelain piece comes in a custom-made wooden case signed by the artist. Dimensions: H 13.5 in D 10 in
