Antique pouch bag, silver plate, late 19th century – England
Silver plate purse or pouch, made at the end of the 19th century in England. The main body is made of mesh, framed at the top with a rigid band, also in silver, decorated on the front with decorative elements typical of Art Nouveau, where flowers and sinuous lines stand out, worked in the form of filigree; the back is smooth, polished, where the signature appears. The closure is of the kiss type. The chain has large links, but without losing finesse and elegance.
Art Nouveau found in jewelry and accessories the perfect showcase to express the new ideal of women and lifestyle according to modernist canons.
