Pair of two Serpentine Candlesticks Designed by Marion Anderson Noyes (1907-2002) for Towle Silversmiths Flared lip candle cup sits atop tubular curving stem that can intertwine with the other romantically or stand sculpturally on its own Black plastic/rubber accent on tail tip 1955 These 'Serpentine' candlesticks are in the collections of the Brooklyn Museum of Art and the Smithsonian American Art Museum Stamped "TOWLE/STERLING/11/FILLED REINFORCED" inside candle cups The two forms vary slightly in dimensions and is part of the design Form one measures approx 8 inches tall and 10 inches at base Form two measures approx 9 inches tall and 10 inches at base
