Wonderful Deco French Boudoir Box with Chenille Embroidery
About the Item
Wonderful Deco French Boudoir Box with hand stitched chenille embroidery. A pastoral scene with a couple lounging in the grass is beautifully rendered in colorful silk yarns and trimmed in antique gold lame tape. A twisted rope motif with tassels frames the center cartouche also done in chenille embroidery.
This large box is covered in deep lavender pleated silk velvet and lined in a similar toned faille. Quality is wonderful and condition is amazing.
