About the Item
Glamorous 1960’s gold gilded empire waist gown with incredible bejeweled bib & cuffs– Fit for an absolute QUEEN! This incredible dress was created by Herbert Kasper who started designing for Joan Leslie in 1965 after working with Jacques Fath, Christian Dior, and Marcel Rochas. The fabric is a high quality dyed gold metallic lurex with shades of green, brown, blue in a paisley pattern. Intricate embroidery of twisted gold rope, beads, pearls and rhinestones give it even more of a regal feel. The dress zippers up the back and with the high quality fabric and embellishment. Fits a petite person or size extra-small. The dress is in overall very good, wearable condition. Some of the small gold beads are missing around the back of the neck. The fabric shows some subtle signs of fading in various places (shown in photos.)
