About the Item
This beautiful, vintage early 1980's Callaghan wool jersey dress with unique corduroy detail to the cuffs and bind on the raglan sleeve is designed by Gianni Versace when he was working for this clothing company during the 1970's and 1980's.
The batwing sleeve construction is so unique and a masterstroke in pattern cutting as it falls beautifully on the garment. The sleeve has pleats that run down the arm and fall into the body of the sleeve.
This garment looks equally good worn with the leather belt included or without, the latter showing the batwing sleeve construction at its best.
A chance to own a piece of fashion history from when Gianni Versace was starting his extraordinary career in fashion.
This garment has never been worn and has original tags attached.
