Laslett John Pott was a historical genre painter born in Newark, Nottinghamshire, in 1837. He studied under Alexander Johnston. He has exhibited at Baillie Gallery, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, Royal Academy of Arts and Royal Society of British Artists. Pott passed away on August 1, 1898.
