Gianni Cacciarini Art

Italian, b. 1941

Gianni Cacciarini was born in Florence, Italy, in 1941. In 1973, he realized a folder of six engravings The screws, presented at the gallery of the antiquarian Giovanni Conti, where the artist's first contact with the public takes place. To the activity of engraver, for which he gets the first recognitions Cacciarini approaches now the study of the painting, under the discreet and affectionate guide of Annigoni. Maria Pia Gonnelli, in January 1978, offered Cacciarini the first opportunity to exhibit the engravings in a solo show, at the Antiquarian Bookshop. In addition to the Viti and the Fabbriche, there are the first still lifes and urban views. From the trip to England in 1978, performed together with his friend Roberto Coppini, the English Suite was born, composed of poems by Coppini and four etchings by Nostro, which do not illustrate those texts inspired by landscapes. In 1980, the moment of the first painting exhibition arrived. The scenarios that Gianni created with objects live in the atmospheres of places that were highly evocative. But in 1985, Cacciarini dedicated himself with passion to another work, the restructuring, together with Daniele Cariani, of the rooms on the ground floor of the Visacci-Guicciardini palace in Borgo degli Albizi.

Lotus No. 7 (Hard Edge Realist Oil Painting of Lotus Leaves and stems)
By Frank DePietro
Located in Hudson, NY
18 x 24 x 1 inches oil on canvas Inspired by close observations of the natural world and encounters with still moments that give us pause. Lines, shapes and colors encountered in nature, reveal the cycles of decay and regeneration that are life’s constant state of change. The work has a quiet, meditative quality. The subject is portrayed in a manner true to their existence in a specific time and place and selected based on considerations of visual relationships to formal elements of painting. Aspects of photo realism, hard edge and color field techniques are uti-lized to isolate the uniqueness of the subject’s detail, as well as emphasize flatness and illusion of depth within the two-dimensional space of the painting. About the artist: Frank DiPietro was born and raised in Scranton PA. He received a Bachelor of Art from Bloomsburg University in 1997, majoring in both Painting and Ceramics with a minor in Art History. In 2000 he earned a degree in Art Education from Moore College of Art and Design while continuing his studies in painting. «My brother gave them a name» Still Life Oil Painting by Samantha Van Heest
By Samantha Van Heest
Located in Oslo, NO
This painting was inspired by the artists very first toy, a small blue giraffe, given to her as a day-old baby. It is something that has been around her whole life, and even though it is inanimate, there is a feeling of personification through the years of wear. Her brother as a baby would call giraffes “fa,” which is always a sweet memory she associate with this toy. Samantha Van Heest...

The Toaster - Original Oil and Tempera on Wood - 1991
By Gianni Cacciarini
Located in Roma, IT
The Toaster is an original modern artwork realized in 1991 by Gianni Cacciarini. Original oil and tempera on wood. Frame is included (cm 60 x 80). Hand-signed on the lower right corner: Gianni Cacciarini. Mint conditions. Very beautiful and fresh iper-realistic work depicting a toaster with a mug in the foreground. The work is a typical representation of Gianni Cacciarini realized with a very beautiful technique: an oily tempera on wood table. The work is interesting for the shapes of the objects and the representation of the still life. A red rose is also present between the toaster and the mug. The work has been realized by the Italian artist Gianni Cacciarini (Florence, 1941). In 1973 he realized a folder of six engravings - "The screws" - presented at the gallery of the antiquarian Giovanni Conti, where the artist's first contact with the public takes place.
