Mid-Century Modern Chess Table of Wood with Stunning Tree Knots Pattern & Light
Located in Lisse, NL
Rare design and great looking, handcrafted wooden chess table with unique natural patterns and colors.
This midcentury era chess table (with built-in lamp in the base) has some of the most beautiful, natural colors ever. We don't know what type of Brasilian nutwood this table is made of, but this shape and these great colors will combine beautifully with all kinds of styles and materials. The design, the warm colors and especially the wonderful tree knot pattern in this all-handcrafted table are an absolute joy to look at. And with the light switched on, only the cores of the tree knots turn into a beautiful, deep red and almost purple color. We tried to shoot some photos with the light in the base of this table switched on, but the result is not at all what it looks like in real life (so much better looking than in our photos). We have sold a few table lamps of this 'knotted wood', but we have never seen a chess table of this amazing material. Apart from a few minor imperfections this very stylish chess...
