About the Item
Bruno Ceccobelli was born on September 2, 1952, in Montecastello di Vibio (PG) Italy.
and currently resides in Todi.
He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome under the tutelage of artist Toti Scialoja, to whom he owes much. Ceccobelli draws inspiration from a variety of artists, including Malevich, Kandinsky, Klee, De Chirico, Brancusi, Beuys, Miró, Dalí, Tàpies, and Magritte. Additionally, he has studied Eastern philosophies such as Zen and Taoism.
Since the late 1970s, he has been among the artists who established themselves in the former Cerere pasta factory located in Rome's San Lorenzo district. This group of creatives later became known as the 'New Roman School.' Initially, his research was conceptual, but it later evolved into a pictorial abstraction that ultimately arrived at a genuine spiritual symbolism.
