Instant Tree Olives by Ondřej Oliva - Large aluminium and bronze sculpture

2023

About the Item

Instant Tree Olives is an aluminium and bronze sculpture by contemporary Czech sculptor Ondřej Oliva, dimensions are 182 × 78 × 39 cm (71.7 × 30.7 × 15.4 in). This sculpture is a unique piece signed by the artist and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Trees are a significant topic for the artist to work on and have symbolic meaning for him in this sculpture. With the use of geometrical stylization, Ondřej reinterprets the shape of trees. A dense tangle of aluminium branches emerges inside the trunk, which is eventually released at the treetop. The trunk is constrained by straight, precise shapes. Ondrej Oliva, a Czech sculptor, draws inspiration for his works from both the natural and everyday objects that surround us. He often returns to familiar objects, such as foods, to produce new works that are rich in allusions and allusions. Ondej uses bronze or aluminium to give his works a long-term perspective, so the material selection is crucial.
