In this sculpture, Guzmán creates an image that is beautiful to behold, the legs of a woman resting on a human skull as a metaphor for life and death, femininity and masculinity.
This artwork is part of the exhibition “Kind of Blue, Kind of Black”, which investigates the relationship between these two colors as a part of our visual and emotional language. Guzmán achieves a phenomenal combination that lives between the figurative, surrealist, and abstract by juxtaposing both elements, which are fundamental in the artistic palette.
