About the Item

"The Present" by Jane DeDecker Cast Aluminum Nativity Creche with Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus and an Angel Make your Christmas yard display extra special with this beautiful sculpture. Because it is cast aluminum, it is light enough for two people to move when it's not on display. Numbered edition 90x48x19" This is part of a 10 piece (16 figures plus animals) set. You can add one every year if you choose to. This purchase is for only the Creche (first 2 photos) ABOUT THE ARTIST: 'Part of Jane's artistic genius is her ability to select a moment with which all of us can relate to in our lives. These recognizable moments skip over generations, each generation finding recognition with it. The scene is timeless in the human experience and each takes us to that moment causing us to reflect and evaluate the importance of love, relationship and achievement. The textures of DeDecker's work bespeak her passion, integrity and honesty. Her practiced and studied craftsmanship coupled with her dedicated respect for others achieves the balance, which makes a hard metal come alive with spirit and soul. This is why her collectors never tire of her work. These are the reasons her peers recognize her as being at the forefront of this century's contemporary sculptors.' - John Kinkade, Executive Director of the National Sculptors' Guild

Alberto Saucedo (Born 1960) Texas Artist (Sculptor/Painter) 21.5 inches tall Medium: Bronze 2016 "The Enigma of The Egg" Alberto was born in 1960. He was raised in Mexico City. Alberto Saucedo began his career as self-taught artist who demonstrated at a young age a remarkable talent and passion for art that eventually at seventeen years of age led him to formal studies at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and later on enrolled at San Diego City College. There he focused on Commercial Art and Interior Design. It was there, where he evolved his unique personal style. It was also at this time that he discovered the work of Master sculptor Francisco Zuñiga and studied sculpture with him. Sculpture subsequently became a major part of Saucedo’s work, and achieved his first real recognition in his field. Saucedo’s training has included a generous study of art history, where he incorporates his sensuous, spiritual and classical techniques, transforming it into a style that becomes evident in his work.
