About the Item
This frog in bronze by French contemporary artist Jacques Owczarek takes shape through a series of lines, edges and curves. The peculiarity of the artist's interpretation comes to the fore in the clarity of the shape, the sharpness of the lines, the sculpture's geometric aspect.
Jacques Owczarek crafts his pieces with extreme thoroughness and is on an eternal quest for perfection. Much sensibility but also humor arise from his sculptures.

Jacques Owczarek
Jacques Owczarek’s sculptures oscillate between figuration and abstraction, redefining the genre of animal sculpture. In his bronze bestiary, the artist favours purity of form, synthesising it in a distinct, highly original style. He allows himself to be guided by his intuitions, creating animals with dynamic, geometric lines that give an impression of movement to static matter. Jacques Owczarek has exhibited at some of the most prestigious international shows and fairs for almost 20 years. “For me, the animal is just a pretext, a pretext for shapes that will question, for volumes that will live, that will settle, that will take possession of the place, that will evolve in a direction that I will give them because they impose themselves on me.’’
