About the Item
The artwork is an excursus between different languages, beyond the historical, cultural and geographical boundaries, starting from the Indo-European root √AR, from which it takes its name.
This root can be associated with words such as arena, artillery that refer to a military and warlike environment, but also it has in itself the idea of unity, explored in the artwork, and with it that of cohesion, of right direction; the idea of integrity and of moral rightness.
Coexisting languages in AR: Hittite, Sanskrit, ancient Greek, Latin, runic Proto-Germanic and Italian.
The duo was officially born in 2017 with the RAR project, which focuses on the value of the analogy in literature. At the heart of their investigation is the dynamic that leads reading to become writing, and other way the user to become a creator, a maker, mixing roles.
The exchange that is established guarantees the transmission, that it goes beyond repetition and finds its completion in transformation. The eternity of an experience, whatever it is (physical, material, emotional, intellectual), is measured by its capacity to be an eternal breeding ground for discovery and knowledge.
Their work was exhibited in solo shows by art galleries, such as Raffaella De Chirico Contemporary Art in Turin and Manuel Zoia Gallery in Milan, and in Art Fair such as ArtVerona and WOP in Lugano (CH). In 2021, they were finalists in the Cramum Award. Between October 2022 and January 2023, they took part in the World Textile Biennale – Italian Act, a series of three exhibitions curated by Barbara Pavan. In January 2023 they attended their first group show in New York at the Ivy Brown Gallery.

- Fiber painting: 'KER'By Federica Patera and Andrea Sbra PeregLocated in New York, NYThe words used in the artworks come from the indo-european root √Ker, which contains a bunch of auspicious meanings, which can be associated with vibration and rhythm and, together, with the flesh as well as with the head and the heart, developing a semantic collaboration that becomes a story. The heart and, on the other side, the brain, by vibrating, make the energy they generate flow in the flesh and animate it. - Fiber painting: 'Re-connaître'By Federica Patera and Andrea Sbra PeregLocated in New York, NYThe choice of fabrics in shades of black and gray, associated with the hot stamping of the pages, creates a graphite effect, combining the indelibility of the print with the delicacy and precariousness of a pencil line. The brief text talks about memory starting from 4 books e mixing 4 different languages: Italian, French, Greek and Sanskrit. - Pink RaysBy Lee HerringLocated in Los Angeles, CALee Herring focuses his contemporary paintings on vibrant, textured, and abstract landscapes that convey fleeting moments. Herring's energetic artworks are inspired by everyday moments and memories as he captures these ephemeral spaces within the context of a spontaneous, dream-like landscape. This 14.5-inch square original mixed media painting on wooden board is signed by the artist on the front and back. This artwork is framed in a white wood frame and is wired and ready to hang. Size and price include the frame. Convenient local Los Angeles shipping. Affordable Continental U.S. and International shipping also available. A Certificate of Authenticity issued by the gallery is included. Lee Herring was born in Sunderland, in north-east England. After excelling in art throughout his early education, he went on to study Fine Art at the University of Chester where he developed his painting style. Herring graduated with 1st class honors and was awarded the University Prize for his work. Years of dedication to his creative practice have cultivated Herring’s current multimedia style. Each of Herring’s paintings evolves through a spontaneous process. The conventional paintbrush is abandoned as Herring employs layers of impasto pastel hues in acrylic, markers, neon spray paint, and a glaze of varnish with pallet knives, trowels, and scrapers. The physicality of his work is evident in the visceral nature of his paintings. Sell-out shows and professional collaborations characterize Herring's international presence as his style constantly develops. His artworks are displayed and represented internationally with a strong following of investors, collectors, and reputable galleries.
