Stunning mid 20th century French Fauvist signed oil painting, depicting this sumptuous view over St Tropez, seen through a lush and bountiful view of gardens and palm trees. The walls of warm pink houses peep through the palm leaves and undergrowth, the colors of which remind one of Matisse - all bathed in the radiant light of the Cote d'Azur. A delightful scene indeed.
The painting dates to the 1950's period and is indistinctly signed by its artist.
