A beautiful oil on canvas painting by the French artist,
Francesco Pagliazzi. Pagliazzi was a French painter known for his colorfully rich cityscapes depicting the times of his generation. From Milan, to Monte Carlo to Paris, his lust for life and thirst for portraying scenes from everyday life is portrayed deeply in his canvases. This painting is a wonderful example of his work from the prime of his career depicting Un Coin De La Place St. Michel Paris. Here you see pedestrians, by a French Cafe on a tree lined street. The details are magnificent as Pagliazzi captures the architecture of Paris so beautifully; you can feel the energy of the day and the excitement. The painting is signed lower right by the artist and it comes housed in original wood carved frame from the period with hanging wire on verso ready to be displayed.
