"Once upon a time"

About the Item

The edges are painted This painting captures a captivating journey into the realm of imagination and fantasy. When we find ourselves in solitude, the entire world becomes ours and we emerge as the creators of that realm. This moment evokes a sense of freedom where there are no boundaries or limits, only an endless exploration through the labyrinths of our own creativity. The canvas is alive with colors that seem celestial, resembling the depths of the cosmic universe. Purples, blues, and pinks intertwine like stardust in a grand celestial dance. The colors accentuate the magical events unfolding on the canvas, emphasizing the vastness of our imagination. The artist wanted to breathe memories into the painting - moments when immersed in our own fantasies, we feel a carefree euphoria of creativity. We experience ourselves as effortlessly light, yet powerful and omnipotent. The artist wanted to immerse the viewer in memories of those times when they were truly captivated by dreams or fantasies. To plunge them into the sincere process of creating ephemeral and fantastic worlds. For, in reality, anything we can imagine can be reality. ABOUT ARTIST Olha Vlasova is a Ukrainian artist who has been passionate about painting since childhood. She received her higher art education in painting and costume design, which heavily influenced her work. Ornamentation also plays a significant role in her art. Olha experiments with various techniques and materials, but she finds that acrylics offer boundless possibilities for imagination and exploration. As a professional artist, Olha is deeply committed to exploring the themes of female sexuality and self-worth. Her goal is to illustrate that a woman's appearance does not diminish her importance or autonomy. Olha asserts that a woman's appearance is her choice, not a means to achieve goals at the expense of men. As an artist, Olha focuses her research on conveying the personal experiences of women who encounter condescension and the diminution of their value due to sensitivity and femininity. She conveys that the concepts of femininity and seriousness, playfulness and rationality are not mutually exclusive and can coexist. Olha's work actively participates in the discussion on tolerance and the pursuit of creating a safe space for self-expression. She incorporates themes of new sincerity in her work, embodying the desire to be oneself without the fear of encountering mockery, sarcasm, or societal labeling. She has extensive artistic experience, and her works are held in private collections in the USA, Norway, Denmark, France, and Ukraine.

  • "Observantness" sparkle painting by Olha Vlasova
    Located in Zofingen, AG
ITEM DETAILS The edges are painted ABOUT THE ARTWORK “Observantness" is a painting that illustrates an allegory of attentiveness and intuition. This canvas portrays the intimacy of human nature, our ability to see and feel beyond the external, to the core of emotional experience. The background, sparkled with cosmic lights, reflects the infinity of our inner universe, where every thought and feeling is a star leading to deeper understanding. The artist questions the depth of our attentiveness - are we observant enough to perceive what is truly significant, can we transcend the superficiality of everyday life to discover the true essence of what surrounds us? Observance is a visual poem about the importance of being present, open, and ready for deep engagement with the world. ABOUT ARTIST Olha Vlasova...

Dilip Chaudhury - Kolkata Street - 30 x 28 inches (unframed size) Oil & Acrylic on Canvas Inclusive of shipment in roll form. Style : Dilip Chaudhury's works depict the Bengali countryside and his hometown Kolkata bathed in the monsoon rains. His black and white works are ever popular though of late he has been dabbling in colour. Dilip Chaudhury has been painting various scenes from everyday life of Calcutta & sometimes Banaras, in watercolour. From ancient monuments, streets & ghats, to a rickshaw puller in action, he is captured it all, beautifully. To somebody who has even a remote connection with Calcutta, he manages to bring a wave of nostalgia, as he symbolizes the character of the city of joy in his work. Like a true artist who has not been afraid of trying his hand at almost every subject and medium under the sun, Dilip has metamorphosed into a sought – after artist with a niche skill of creating above all, subjects of abundant beauty and character with a strong sense of perspective. A touch of red in his paintings symbolises optimism. Dilip has executed truly riveting canvasses, each of which has a unique story to narrate. They are not flat but have grandeur, movement, people and therefore, life infused into them. Sometimes Dilip uses his imagination to highlight the simple rickshaw puller of Kolkata. He creates stylistic compositions from unusual angles, which succeed in enthralling the viewer. About the Artist & his works : Born : Kolkata, West Bengal.
