About the Item
Gustavo Pisani (Naples, 1877 - 1948) was an Italian painter and illustrator of the Neapolitan school.
Gustavo Pisani studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples under Filippo Palizzi.He belonged to the painters of the Neapolitan school.
He was a versatile artist who won numerous awards throughout his career and excelled in various areas of art, including landscape and figure painting, illustrations, and collaboration in journalism.
He was known for his ability to convey a lyrical note to his paintings, evident in the way he liked to capture the most delicate aspects of nature and things, always carefully choosing the subjects to depict.
Gustavo Pisani treated various themes, including landscapes and genre scenes, inspired by views of various Italian cities. His works were shown in several exhibitions, both nationally and internationally, achieving excellent results.
