About the Item

The artwork "Pandemic Play" is a poignant and timely piece that captures the spirit of creativity and resilience during times of hardship. The painting, created by Oladeinde Aralola Eniola, depicts a man playing the guitar in a lit environment, with a glow emanating from the background. The title "Pandemic Play" alludes to the global COVID-19 pandemic, which has forced many people to stay at home and limit their social interactions. The artwork captures the sense of isolation and solitude that many people have experienced during this time, as well as the power of music to provide comfort and solace. The man playing the guitar in the painting is a symbol of the human spirit's ability to find joy and beauty amid difficult circumstances. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, he has found a way to express himself creatively and connect with others through his music. The lit environment and the glow from the background create a sense of intimacy and coziness as if the viewer is in the same environment as the musician.
