About the Item

Anne Sargent Walker’s “Pile Up” is a 30 x 30 inch contemporary oil and acrylic painting on canvas of toy ducks in brilliant yellow against a drippy background of soft gray-blue with deep blue and turquoise polka dots; one of a series of toy duck paintings completed after Hurricane Irene caused major flooding in New England. It is another take on our relationship with nature, in this case both frightening and reassuring. The unframed painting in oil and acrylic is on stretched canvas and measures 30 inches by 30 inches, and 1.375 inches deep. It is signed in the lower right corner, and on the back. Anne Sargent Walker works and paints in the Boston area. Her award winning work, concerning our complicated relationship with the natural world, has been exhibited widely and is in private and corporate collections around the country. She is represented by Fountain Street Gallery in Boston, MA.
