!9th century English portrait of a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel
Wonderful portrait study of this very popular breed of dog.
Dating from the middle of the 19th century this piece has all the quality of the traditional English animal painters such as George Earl.
He was a well known painter of animal portraits and this piece has much of the quality one would find in his work.
The painting has been framed in a hand made English circular gilded wood frame.
