Bernard Aubertin
Bernard Aubertin - Tableau Clous - Nail Painting 1970

1970

About the Item

Bernard Aubertin (1934 -.) Tableau Clous 1970 Nails and acrylic on panel, 50 × 50 cm Verso signed and dated. Bernard Aubertin associates the element fire with a glowing red. "The red gives me a feeling of identification with the fire." (B. Aubertin, in: B. Aubertin, Das Feuer und das Rot, Bielefeld 1997, p. 29). His red nail works emanate a magic charged with energy. In combination with the nails' iron, associations of red glowing metals lie close. Alone the nails' serial arrangement forces rigidity upon the image surface. The French artist Bernard Aubertin met Yves Klein in 1957. After this capital meeting he painted his his first red monochromes. In 1961, Bernard Aubertin joined ZERO, a German artists’ group made up of (Otto Piene, Heinz Mack and Günther Uecker). With them Aubertin shared a distrust of language: “Art isn’t expression, it’s knowledge. You don’t have something to say, you can only be” (Bernard Aubertin). For Aubertin, monochrome painting is the best way to free oneself from the painter’s gesture and, in doing so, give rise to a pure space and an anonymous vital energy. Ascribing a prophetic, liberating value to the color red and “levitating fire,” in which he sees a materialization of “extrasensory” culture, Aubertin has tirelessly developed his many series of paintings, the “monochromes,” “squares,” “reds,” “fires,” “golds” and so on. Aubertin exhibited with the ZERO group in Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Berlin and Milan. collections include Bibliothèque Nationale de Paris, Paris Musée de Grenoble, Grenoble Centre National de l'Art Contemporain, Paris Musée de Graz, Graz Museum of Düsseldortf, Düsseldorft Archivio della Grazia di Nuova Scrittura, Milan Museo de Arte Moderno, Venezuela Solo Exhibitions 1962, Galerie Wulfengasse, Austria 1967, Falerie Weiller, Paris; Galerie M.E. Located in Zofingen, AG
A large semi-abstract structured mixed media painting with painted edges, so it can be hung immediately without framing. This painting has a lot of structures and layers. Acrylic mixed media. The structure aspect and metallic colors come alive with directional lighting and create beautiful shadows and shine which give the artwork a life of its own and changes throughout the day in changing light situations. Because of the interaction of colors, structures, and different textures, each painting is unique and unrepeatable. The colors of the photograph might be slightly different from the original painting. The artwork is titled on the back and signed on the side and also comes with a certificate of authenticity. Please feel free to ask any questions if needed. „I create windows and doors with depth and harmonic vibration which let peace, harmony, stillness, serenity, and love in your life .“ Vera Hoi Vera Hoi is a nature-inspired artist. Her paintings are an expression of emotions, experiences, thoughts, and dreams. She gets her inspiration from the beauty that surrounds us and painting art for her is a way to express this beauty on the canvas and share it with the world. Her Art is mostly derived from visions She has while in sleep or a contemplative state of mind. Her purpose as an artist is to create windows and doors with depth and harmonic vibration, that opens the heart to peace, harmony, stillness, serenity, and love. She tries to transcend the physical world, inspiring the viewer to reach a higher ground and perceiver the light that is within us all. Vera invites the viewer to a way to discover a sense of oneness with ourselves, the world, and nature. Her work focuses mostly on textured compositions of various colors and shapes depicting water (sea, lake, waterfall). For this, she uses acrylic and oil paints, various structure pastes, ink, and other artistic materials. The image of water relaxes, calms down, and gives aesthetic pleasure. The energy of peace, harmony, stillness, and serenity helps to slow down and relax. Vera invites the viewer to do some self-reflection and connected to their inner self to realize what really matters. ** Artistic professionalism, non-standard original technique. ** 100% original and handmade ** Canvas already stretched on a gallery wooden frame, high quality ** Ready to hang, sides are painted ** Liquitex colors, high luminosity, without fading, non-toxic ** Eco-friendly painting, buying it you help our planet ** Fast worldwide shipping in secure packaging.
