About the Item

Arabic Calligraphy is a precious manuscript with Islamic sacred verses in an ancient calligraphy style. One page, one-sided, in Arabic, the original sheet (cm 17 x 11). In good condition, except for a visible stain on the left side. Overall the whole manuscript is perfectly readable. Under plexiglass, and under a precious ebony wooden frame (cm 34.5 x 1.3 x 28.5). The script is in black ink with some words in red ink. In the top of the sheet and on the right side there are small words that are hard to read. In the left and center of the manuscript, the main script is written in bigger words. There are also small circled words blew and left side of the sheet which demonstrates the importance of phrases that are circled for calligrapher. Regard to Islamic art, calligraphy is sacred art which through it calligrapher does an act of praying with repetition and his handwriting. Calligraphy is the art of writing created for beauty as well as to convey ideas. It is an ancient art and one that is ornamental, elaborate, and also practical. In the Islamic world, however, calligraphy has been used to a much greater extent and in astonishingly varied and imaginative ways, which have taken the written word far beyond pen and paper into all art forms and materials. For these reasons, calligraphy may be counted as a uniquely original feature of Islamic art. This precious piece of art presents a dignified expression of calligrapher and it would be suitable for who is searching for emotion through a piece of art.
