About the Item
Artist Comments
Exploring a narrative on the hazards and uncertainties of love, the artwork conveys the idea that letting oneself fall into affection is a gamble. The wood bark in the foreground resembles a hand, signaling a warning to stop. A bird in the upper left corner takes flight in fear, while a devil observes and anticipates the choices of the reclining figure. Artist Libby Ramage uses charcoal and pastels on handmade paper, incorporating a collage of wood, a potato bag, and fabric.
About the Artist
Libby Ramage infuses a playful and whimsical mood into her works. In fact, she credits the children she works with for greatly influencing her aesthetic. She often uses children’s abandoned work in her collages. Libby currently lives in New Jersey and finds inspiration in the work of Rauschenberg. She believes collectors should buy from the heart.

- Envy, Original PaintingBy Sharon SiebenLocated in San Francisco, CA
Artist Comments
Artist Sharon Sieben paints a woman in the foreground, keenly observing the other pair in the background. Minimal representation and primitive paintwork constitute the conversational display. With her hand on her hip, the main subject implies an air of conflict. "She is not included in the conversation," says Sharon. The piece makes the viewer question the engaging narrative between the characters.About the Artist
Sharon Sieben prefers working in a loose, fluid technique and finds inspiration in the most unexpected things. Her parents bought her a set of oil paints when she was ten years old and it sparked her love of art. She especially admires the work of Impressionist artists such as Paul Cezanne because of how they broke tradition. When she's not making art, she enjoys reading and playing classical guitar...Category21st Century and Contemporary Outsider Art Mixed Media
