A very finely executed early 20th Century double portrait of two pretty young Venetian women wearing colourful shawls with soft smiles. The hazy softness of the skin and hair is typical of Marusso's work and these particular female characters appear often in his portfolio. The artist has signed to the lower right and the painting has been presented in a contemporary faded gilt effect frame with card mount. On wove.
