A delightful watercolour scene by the well listed English artist John Mogford RA (1821-1885). The Painting depicts a vast valley landscape with a female figure leaving for the day, accompanied by her dog. The lady's cottage can just be seen on the brow of the hill, smoking from the last logs on the fire. The watercolour has been signed by the artist to the lower left edge. Beautifully mounted in a plain gilt wood frame. On watercolour paper.
