About the Item
Sans titre - 30-03-18 Following my previous sans titre drawing this one shows more clairobscur (chiaroscuro), giving it a rather impressionistic look. I kept the cubistic forms that define Marilyn Monroe in my roundism style because as an artist I know it is all about seeing one thing in another. It was the challenge to create maximum impression and feel of a tangible person based on abstracted forms, using a perfect harmony between variation and repetition of values, directions and forms. My motto is: In case of doubt follow the light (and the darkness that surrounds it). Graphite pencil drawing (Pentel 0.5 mm, 3B) on Strathmore Bristol paper (21 x 29.7 x 0.1 cm) - A4 format) Artist: Corné Akkers :: Drawing :: Impressionist :: This piece comes with an official certificate of authenticity signed by the artist :: Ready to Hang: No :: Signed: Yes :: Signature Location: bottom right :: Paper :: Portrait :: Original :: Framed: No
